We continued with the year 1 and 4 with a yogurt maker and ice cream maker to understand how we heated things up and cooled them down (insulation) and experimented with a yogurt maker then into an ice cream maker. This allowed them to use some of the language but in a different context. We also used it to ground their knowledge in non-fiction informational writing. Diagrams, labeling etc so not exact but a great as well. The kids would get so excited about the lessons. When I as the principal came into see what was happening the students were so excited to share their experiences and their writing on the days.
