I really liked this kit. It’s so great to have everything ready. The teacher manual resource is excellent. I liked having an observation handout for the ocean acidification experiment. The priority for me is that the children have background and theory from the teacher (which is clearly provided in the teacher manual) and that they have a hands-on experience. All the activities in this kit allow for that, so 10 stars. It is also nice for the children to record their learning. Worksheets are much less exciting, but I like them so that the children are able to go back to them for reference and as evidence of achieving the Science Capabilities. Great balance 🙂

Te Kura absolutely love the kits. They are used during our Huinga ako sessions and have proven a real hit. Akonga in Wairoa and Tairawhiti receive lessons and enjoy the hands-on activities and links to the world around them. Science has come alive for them. Thank you.

The children absolutely loved this kit. The whole class was engaged and excited the whole time. It was my favourite science kit so far and the children said the same. The range of materials was very interesting for the children and they loved exploring the concepts of floating and sinking. The ‘flinking’ activity was their favourite. Great fun, great learning! Thanks so much. I have told all my colleagues that I highly recommend this kit – particularly for younger learners.

Love that they are easy to follow for the kids and teachers a like. I had to leave a couple for relievers to run and they were able to pick them up and continue.

Thank you, the students really enjoyed these activities. The Making Sherbet one was good for recalling their prior knowledge of acids etc. The kit was clean and prepared for ease of use. Throughout these activities the students asked some great questions and made some good comparisons. This learning was in the midst of working through their Science Fair projects and it has given students some good ideas for next year. Thank you again. Ngā mihi.
