About us - House of Science Auckland
Established in 2014, House of Science Auckland was originally known as the Science Equipment Library. The name was changed in 2018 to reflect the new direction to Raise Scientific Literacy in the Auckland region. We aim to achieve that by resourcing and connecting local science communities. Our core values are Curiosity, Collaboration and Community.
Teachers, students and the wider community can access our diverse programmes and educational materials, which include:
- A comprehensive science resource library for primary and intermediate schools
- Teacher professional development
We hope to be able to offer the following in due course:
- After school and holiday programmes
- Robotics club
- Special events
Currently our services are available in the West Auckland community only; we hope to grow this into the wider Auckland region in the near future.
