Wayne and his team are passionate about raising scientific literacy in the greater Auckland area. The demand for the science resource kits is huge so they would welcome your involvement through volunteering your time, sponsoring a science resource kit or donating funds. Wayne is also available to speak to your community organisation to raise the profile of the House of Science.
Wayne Tollemache, Co-founder and Chair
Wayne Tollemache is a seasoned international senior executive having lived and worked in Asia for over nine years. With 25+ years of corporate experience he brings a wealth of knowledge in running a business. Since returning to New Zealand in 2012 Wayne has set up JTC Consulting, his own business and management advisory company. Wayne is a passionate director and a strategic thinker by nature and experience and thrives in an environment of change. A seasoned public speaker, Wayne is also an avid fisherman and diver and a die-hard rugby fan.
Adrianne Cranshaw, Trustee
General manager of Communicators, Adrianne Cranshaw has over 20 years’ experience in PR, communications and marketing. Her experience was gained at a senior level in a wide range of businesses – including corporate services, science, telecommunications, health and local government. She has worked across international and national markets and for commercial and not-for-profit organisations. Adrianne holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science – both from the University of Auckland. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Sciences (Psych.) from Massey University.
Jason Rudkin-Binks, Trustee
Jason is a Partner at Hudson Gavin Martin, New Zealand’s leading boutique corporate and commercial law firm with expertise in Technology, Media and Intellectual Property. Jason has specialised in IP since the start of his career in London in 1997 and he has amassed considerable experience in terms of how IP rights interrelate and how they can be used to grow and retain value in a business. Jason’s broad experience covers all aspects of contentious and non-contentious IP issues, including commercialisation, infringement, licensing, sponsorship, passing off, media, domain names, anti-counterfeiting and due diligence.
Nicholas Wheadon, Treasurer
Nicholas works in the Strategy and Corporate Development team at Fletcher Building, helping shape the future of the company and New Zealand communities more broadly. Nicholas has experience in practical science education and is a firm believer in learning through experimentation and play. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Victoria University of Wellington and an Honours in finance from Monash University.
