The last educational programme for 2017, is Zoology. Students will gain new knowledge about the many different animals present on the Earth. We will be conducting investigations to help us understand the fascinating differences and similarities between living things.
Students will learn about the wild, weird and wonderful, animals that are deadly to humans and those that help them. We will explore our closest relatives in the animal kingdom, as well as spotlighting on those creatures unique to New Zealand. We hope to have animal visitors and maybe even a trip to local animal park. From Alligators to Zebra’s there will be something new for all to learn.
The students can also work towards a Zoology Science Award badge. Students have to complete a number of tasks, some of these will occur in the classroom. Students choose additional activities to do at home, in order to finish and be presented with their enamel badge and certificate. Additional badge can be worked on at home, for more details please see Lindsey Morgan, our educator.
Our home School Science program is for all home schooled students aged 8-13 yrs. Every Tuesday during the term from 10:00 to 12:00 Cost $195 for the term (8 sessions). Maximum of 24 students per session.
